As I’m sure you all can tell, this New York Fashion Week took me out!
In addition to hosting my own fashion show, I also attended several other Fashion Shows, hosted events, and did activations.
Here’s a rundown of my looks!
Day 1 in Christian Siriano
Christian Siriano kicked off the festivities with a glamorous collection held at Elizabeth Taylor’s penthouse. The showing frothed over with incomparable beauty, befitting of an American princess. Front row attendees like Janet Jackson added to the sparkling pop of day 1!
Day 2 at the Lionne Clothing Show in S Denton Collection and Shop Akira
On day 2, it was all about color blocking for me in an S Denton collection feathered sweatshirt from FashionBombDailyShop.com and Shop Akira pant/boots. Funny story with this one: Lionne Clothing offered to dress me, and then the day of the show, their PR told me they gave my dress to someone else. A young woman with blue hair was the top pick to wear my look (I saw her at the show!). Thankfully I always have a back up, and Fashion Bomb Daily shop is always a default for me. I said hey to fashionable friends like Emily B, Cassie, Draya Michele, and More in a look you must have now!
Day 3 in Zara and H&M
On Day 3 I was supposed to go to a litany of events, but canceled them to plan for our show! Above, I’m wearing one of my favorite looks of NYFW: A Zara tee and shorts, an Iris Apfel x H&M jacket and Balenciaga boots. That jacket is what dreams are made of and I need to wear it again, expeditiously. Fun fact, this jacket is sold out everywhere and I actually paid twice as much as it retailed for on Poshmark! Some poor seller was trying to make some money and getting harassed by fellow Poshmarkers for marking UP the price. But I just went ahead and got it because it is that fabulous. Please believe you’ll see me in this again!!
Another fun note, I ran into Cardi B that day who said she loved my look:)
Day 4 in Jason Wu, Ade by Femi and Allure Novembre:
Day 4 was the Day of the Bomb Fashion Show! I went to a Jason Wu show earlier that day, in Jason Wu. And then for the Bomb Fashion show, I wore designers from the shop including Ade by Femi and Allure Novembre. You can shop my looks at FashionBombDailyShop.com!
Day 5 in London Couture and Tommy Hilfiger
On that Sunday, I actually hosted an event in New Jersey. Yes. Yes I did.
That evening I attended the Tommy Hilfiger show, in Tommy Hilfiger. It rained.
I am exhausted even writing about this!
Day 6 in The Kemist Store, Fumi the Label, and Laquan Smith
On day 6, I attended a morning presentation for Serena Williams’s Serena line, followed by the Bibhu Mohapatra show. I also ordered a look for this that came late! I’ll wear it another time.
I ended the night at the LaQuan Smith show. Fun Fact, I bought my outfit for Laquan THAT DAY.
Day 7 in Maisie Wilen and Puma
This day, I attended the Maisie Wilen show in a Maisie Wilen look and the Puma show in a Puma x June Ambrose look.
Life is a sport indeed!!
Day 8 in Tom Ford
And on my last day of NYFW, I went to the Tom Ford show in Tom Ford.
Here’s another fun fact: I ordered another, snazzier Tom Ford shirt from Matches Fashion that I still have not received! Which reminds me to call them.
Even though Matches is playing games, I still managed to turn out a lewk for my last and final show of New York Fashion Week!
Despite a few hiccups, delays, and a crazy schedule, I survived and am here to tell you all about it!
