The Bomb Life: Highlights from Milan and Paris Fashion Week Including Roberto Cavalli, Torisheju, Atelier Biser, and More!

Happy Friday, Bombers and Bombshells!

Well, it’s no secret: This here blog has been woefully neglected the past few weeks….! I really put up a fighting chance to update the first two days of NYFW, then it all went to the wind.

I just got back from Paris and am actually currently in Chicago for a hosting. THEN we have our first Bomb Fashion show in LA (just realized I haven’t even recapped the Bomb Fashion Show in New York! Will do that soon!)

To put it lightly, the Bomb life is busy baby, but just like my written journals, I am committed to finding time to update. Fun fact, I used to write in my journal every day, now I am pretty consistent with once a month. But I digress…

Take a look at some highlights from Milan and Paris Fashion Week:

So after NYFW, I typically take a bit of a break and then go to the last few days of Milan Fashion Week. I landed in the morning in Milan and then went to the Roberto Cavalli show at night.

I was thrilled to grab interviews with Cardi B and Olandria, and also captured some video and chatted with my fellow fashion loving Haitian over achiever Naomi Osaka. And honestly after that, I could have called it a great trip and headed home!

The first night, the photographer I had scheduled canceled on me, so I only was able to grab a Polaroid from a kind young gentleman who was selling flowers and taking pix at a cafe (see above)…! But then, I lucked out the next day and ran into not one but two photographers after the Sportmax show in front of the Duomo.

You see how GOD provides?

I’ve increasingly found that in large cities, there are photographers lurking around touristy sites, and they’ll take some good photos for you for a small fee. Such was the case with this gentleman–he did a good job!

After Milan, I headed to Paris, which many of you know is like my 4th home after LA, New York, and Atlanta! I speak French, lived there before, and know a lot of creative people there. Everything from glam to photography and videography, Paris got me, so I was feeling more like myself.

I mean, look at this shot

Day 1, I went to the Torisheju show and interviewed Edward Buchanan:

After that I went to a mix of shows, including Christopher Guillarmé, Kobi Halperin, Georges Hobeika, Akris, Agnes B, and more:

In terms of highlights, my favorite shows including Georges Hobeika, which was stunningly beautiful–I want to see more Hollywood starlets in his gowns.

The Akris show was also a favorite. I really enjoyed the colors and artistry.

I always love to see Kobi Halperin, who was kind enough to dress me for his show:

I also enjoy stopping by the Atelier Biser, Christian Siriano, and Ruslan Baginskiy events.

Need this hat!

I also loved seeing Mariel Haenn. In addition to being, in my opinion, one of the top 5 stylists in the world, she is also incredibly sweet. I’ll always remember her for the iconic work she did with Rihanna in the beginning of her career.

If you squint, you can see Mariel in the background of this pic–is was my first celeb pic and it was in Paris! With Rihanna!

My, how time flies!

Paris has so many great memories for me. It is such a magical place. And now I’m thinking of ways to spend more time there. Of course I go for RTW Fashion week and now couture, but I dunno. There is only so much time in a year but I want to live there again, maybe purchase some property there, like become a true global citizen….! Funnily enough, purchasing a home in Paris is cheaper than doing so in New York OR LA, so it might be my first home purchase.

My words to GODs ears.

I envision a two bedroom/two bath with Hausmannian windows and a terrace with a view of the Eiffel Tower. It will be a LONG way from sleeping on a tub, non?

Remember, GOD provides. If anything, I hope my life is simply a testament to the GOD’s goodness, and how when you are faithful, he will continue to bless you with miracles that will blow your mind.

Now, off to my next adventure!

Love & Light,
