SO a few days ago, just as I was announcing all the amazing things and bookings I have coming up for Fashion Week, some insane hacker got access to my Gmail and emailed everyone I have ever known a Docusign that did not originate from me.
I know exactly how this happened. My accountant was hacked and sent me the same FAKE docusign, and I, like many people in my address book, clicked it and opened it up, and input their Gmail info. And now we’re all hacked!
This really caused a crazy and stressful time to become even crazier, and I barely have time to write this….! What I wonder for me and for those who receive this random docusign is: If I have no business or pending docusign with this person, then why would I open it? Human error!
Scammers are getting better and better with time. I signed out of all my devices, changed my password, and enabled two factor authentification. Is there anything else I should do? I hope that if you received my hacked email you did not open it. And if you did, please protect your account!
What I’ve learned is that things get bad before they get good, so something AMAZING must be on the way, huh? Let’s hope so…and see you at NYFW!
