Houston Saks Event Rescheduled for Saturday + Bomb Life 101: Always Leave a Day Early for an Out of Town Engagement

Happy Thursday, Bombers and Bombshells!
As I type, I’m on my way to Houston, on a UNITED AIRLINES flight that was delayed so significantly due to technical issues that I am missing my first event today at Saks.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again! If you have an event, fly in the day prior. Today, I thought I could risk it. I left at the break of dawn, and boarded the plane with no issue. But as we were pulling away from the gate, all the lights went out. Then we were told to deplane. Then the flight was canceled. Then we were told to board again….until the engine had issues.

If I didn’t have to be somewhere in the matter of a few hours, it wouldn’t have been a big deal! But here I am looking crazy, missing events.
All that to say: I’m sorry.
I will be in town for the Live Super Bold conference. We have rescheduled the Saks event to take place from 4-6 on Saturday (after the event at the Webster; all details here). And who knows? Maybe it all will work out for the better! Not sure how many of you were available in the middle of the day on a Thursday anyway!
