So this whole month has been about decorating! And in my search for one of kind finds, I’ve stumbled across some pretty dope pieces I thought you might like as well.
Behold, 5 fun things I’ve earmarked for my new apartment:
1. Andre Woolery Art:
My homeboy Andre Woolery is a beast when it comes to contemporary art! His creations depict pop culture icons like Kanye West, Jay Z, and Grace Jones, in bold, unexpected ways. I earmarked Grace Jones and the dollar bill canvases for my bedroom and guest room.
Large canvases will run you anywhere from $350-$500, which isn’t so bad for a unique piece. See more and purchase one of your own here.
2. Prints by Charm & Gumption
I love the look of having several framed pictures all in one space, so decided to intersperse family snapshots and fashion photos with gold foil prints by Charm & Gumption.
A few of my favorites include their ‘Hustle‘ foil print, along with ‘Get it Girl.’ At $15 a pop, you really can’t go wrong.
Get yours at CharmandGumption.com.
3.Damn Good Doormats
I’m a creative and fashion enthusiast–I can’t have just any old doormat! So I was tickled to find Damn Good Doormats on Etsy. I purchased the Nice Shoes option, and am contemplating getting ‘The Crib’ for my downstairs entrance.
At $45 each, I’m not breaking the bank (as you can see, I’ve been shopping on a bit of a budget)! Get the doormats above here.
4. Rugs from One Kings Lane
I can’t take credit for this find–my homegirl Kelley Carter, who is decorating my apartment, found these gems.
Cowhide with splashes of gold or silver scream GLAMOUR to me.
These are definitely more on the splurge side, ranging in price from $750-$1,000, but I guess there’s nothing wrong with mixing high and low! See more at OneKingsLane.com.
5. Pillows by Luxe Colore
Yeah, I know I’m cheating a bit, since I’ve already written about them, but they deserve another mention!
Though the Beyonce pillows weren’t in stock, I was able to nab a Diana pillow, and she’s beautiful! It’s important to note, however, that the pillow is not included–the $45 price is only for the pillow case. Read more about them here.
At any rate, there’s still so much more to do. I’m hoping to have my closet finished in time for Fashion Week. If it is, you’ll all get to have a peek, and see the result of all this planning (and shopping).
Stay tuned!
Love & Light!
