I decided to pen this little post at the advent of a new business venture between yours truly and Miss Diddy LA!
You heard that right! We will be joining forces to throw events this Spring/Summer including influencer dinners and Cocktail Parties (Cocktails with Claire will now be Cocktails with Claire and Miss Diddy!).
We chose to work together because we’re both about our business and not the BS! We both simply want to be successful and are cool combining our influences to create something great!
Too often in creative industries, black women tear each other down. I recently wrote about a run in I had with a blogging colleague, but at my earlier job, I had the same issue: my strongest opponent was a black woman!
The crabs in the barrel thing is so passé. We can be more successful if we work together. Everyone else gets it right. It’s time for us to start pushing each other to be our best selves. There is room at the top for everyone. Let’s all WIN.
In addition to our Cocktail parties, we will be having panel discussions with that theme in mind. We have the brains, the access, and the ambition. Let’s get it!
