Hey!
So last night, I attended a screening for an epically amazing movie called Selma, a biopic about Martin Luther King, Jr. I wasn’t sure what to wear, but was informed that the event called for something ‘dressy,’ so I slipped on a Jaxon Fringed Jacket by BCBG and a Victoria’s Secret skirt.
My hair is a mess and I don’t feel like doing it! So until I meet up with my girl Sammy, it’s all about the hats. I wasn’t sure my Borsalino pink topper would work, but I put it on. I think it turned out ok!
Carol’s Daughter actually invited a slew of fashionistas to the event, including myself, Glamour’s Rajni Jacques, Cosmo’s Shiona Turini, Teen Vogue’s Elaine Welteroth, and my blogger buddy Karen of Where Did U Get That.
And afterwards, I hit up the after party, and cheesed with Common, Tessa Thompson, Tia Mowry, and many more.
Selma is such a good movie. I’ll try to eek out the time to write a proper review. It’s imperative that everyone in our country go see it! It’s that good.
Until I do, thoughts on my look for the night?
