Style Diary: A Suno Embroidered Cotton Dress and Jimmy Choo Suede Creme Anouk Pumps

So my friend Jason Riffe always talks so much smack about the pix on my blog! So before heading to speak on a NYUYLP panel about diversity in the media, I allowed him to shoot my look on the Upper West Side: My choice for the night was a Suno Embroidered Cotton Dress and Jimmy Choo Suede Creme Anouk Pumps: This dress was sold out in my size *everywhere*. I actually managed to snag it from Net-a-Porter’s UK site (My…

Style Diary: Mother of Pearl Keres Printed Silk Crepe de Chine Shirt, Bella Striped Skirt, and Christian Louboutin Pumps

I’ve been playing a bit more with prints lately. Can you tell? I had a night full of events, so decided to dress up a bit in a Mother of Pearl Keres Printed Shirt and Bella Striped Skirt. I hobbled around in my Louboutin pumps, and completed with a bit of nude lipglass. See a version of my outfit from Mother of Pearl’s Fall 2013 presentation: Get my look here: What do you think? 4 Unexpected Yet Delicious Restaurants in Paris

So, I’ll be honest: while I’m traveling, I generally don’t have a ton of time to document all my experiences. But now that I’m back home, I thought it as good as time as any to let you in on a few fabulous restaurants I’ve stumbled across in one of my second homes, Paris. Ready? 1. Azabu. 3 Rue André Mazet, 75006 Paris. Métro: Odéon, Mabillon, Saint-Michel. I wasn’t a fan of Japanese food until I came to this restaurant.…

Paris Fashion Week Spring 2014: Zara Shirt, Peter Pilotto Fall 2013 Red, Black, and White Skirt, and Gianvito Rossi Bicolor Pumps

So I’ve found a new silhouette that works for me: button down shirts and knee length skirts! Granted, I’m busty. So finding that perfect button down that doesn’t pucker is an issue. I’ve also been traveling, which means that while normally I’d get something tailored or add a few snaps, abroad, c’est pas possible. So the top pictured is by Zara. I paid about $50 for it. And while it looks fine in pictures, the quality leaves a lot to…

London Spring 2014 Fashion Week: A Stella Jean Plaid Shirt, Heart Print Emma Cook Skirt, and Christian Louboutin Pumps

Behold, my one and only Style Diary from London Fashion Week! The Burberry show is always a highlight for me during London Fashion Week! I went to the Burberry store to see about getting their uber popular heart printed shirt. They were all sold out, though I did try on a few other items: No dice! At any rate, I decided to go for an inspired look with an Emma Cook skirt and a plaid Stella Jean top. See my…

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Day 5: A Céline Fall 2012 Dress, Givenchy Metallic Banded Sandals, and a Carbon Showroom Clutch

For day 5 of NYFW, I wore all white, specifically a Céline dress and my Givenchy banded metallic sandals. The dress actually has a pop of orange color on the back, so I coordinated my lipstick with a mixture of MAC’s Lady Danger and Morange (you can achieve a similar look by using the brand’s So Chaud hue as well). See my dress’s motif on Celine’s Fall 2012 runway. It’s always interesting to see how the runway iteration will translate into real life. Well, here you go! The…
