This Saturday saw yet another No Basics Brunch at Corner Social in Harlem.
The hosts always go with a theme–for the past 2 brunches, we went designer, but this go round, we opted for African prints!
Ty wore Midget Giraffe, Damon flexed in Kehinde Wiley (yes Kehinde Wiley the artist makes clothes as well), and I rocked a cropped jacket and fitted skirt by Ghanaian designer Ame’yo.
I took my Giuseppe Zanotti chain sandals out for a spin! I slipped those on and finished with Dior Pantos shades and a Shevy clutch by Helmer.
If any of you follow me on Snapchat, you already know that I had a fashion disaster with this outfit! The seam on the skirt busted out as I sat down in my car to head to the event!
Thankfully Ty’s styling skills came into play. He got to work with his sewing kit and the skirt was as good as new!
Also a few notes about the Zanotti sandals: my feet have never been more swollen than in these shoes. Cute, but they are a sacrifice!
Oh and I just checked on Neiman Marcus. They’re now an extra 25% off. I’m currently on the phone with NM to see if I can get a credit to my account, but if you want ’em, get ’em now!
*Neiman Marcus did credit my account! Adding it to my monthly shopping budget!
