Hey!
This past weekend, I headed uptown for a meeting at Tavern on the Green (67th and Central Park West).
When I told people I was going to Tavern on the Green, a lot expressed surprise that it was still open! Well, it is open, vibrant, and the food is the bomb! Under the direction of Chef John Stevenson (pictured below), the meals are nothing short of delish.
A few dishes I recommend: The Seared Sea Scallops to start.
The Cioppino, a brew of shrimps, clams, mussels, and sausages in a red sauce, served with bread.
There’s always room for dessert! The Carrot Cake is to die for!
Need a drink? Try to strawberry lemonade (it’s even better with vodka!).
The ambiance is also pretty amazing. Perfect for a lazy summer day.
I love cotton jersey on the weekends. It’s stretchy, and the right pieces can be quite sexy. I rocked an Alexander Wang tee, a Helmut Lang skirt, and Gianvito Rossi silver and black pumps.
A few silver cuffs, a silver clutch, and Jembere sunglasses picked up on the silver accents in my heels.
This is my idea of ease. Nothing special. I keep it simple, though I’m still a heel girl (let us pray for my feet!).
Anyway, be sure to check out Tavern if you’re ever in the city!
Visit their website here for more information, along with a menu and price list.
