I followed up the Givenchy Rodeo Store opening with a celebrity laced party at a private location:
As you know, I recently moved to LA. And while I know tons of people in New York, and can go to parties alone and inevitably see someone I know, here is a little bit different. Ever walked into a party and know absolutely no one?
For me, the first stop is always the bar. Grab yourself a cocktail or mocktail and scope the scene while you get comfortable. Then, walk up to someone who looks familiar! I don’t think I’ve ever met Keith Powers before, but I did love his work in The Perfect Find, so I walked up to him and started chatting with him and his friend Mason Gooding. Turns out they’re familiar with Fashion Bomb Daily! We snapped a pic:
I also ran up on Dominique Fishback, and congratulated her on her work in Swarm!
I eventually chatted with her friends and made new friends.
People are kind, and you’ll never know until you say hello!
When I lived in Paris I had to do this all the time. Like most things in life, it gets easier with practice.
For the occasion, I wore my Givenchy shades, a corset from Perfect Corset, and Awake Mode pants.
