It has taken me a full week to recover from The Bomb Fashion Show!
Vivica A Fox was an amazing host, Lavan Midtown was a GREAT venue, and the fashions were fashioning! I had a great time, even though it took me out for a few days afterwards (haha).
I can transparently say that every year, I wonder if I should keep going. Producing an event of that magnitude with no prior experience can be daunting and stressful. But after every event, I am happy I did it. The anxiety is largely amplified–at the end of the day you are probably your harshest critic.
The act of simply DOING it is enough, because you can learn your lessons, correct and course correct, and ensure that the next time is the best time ever.
I am beyond grateful for everyone who came through. To my whole team. To our sponsors Kaleidoscope Hair Products and Myavana. To all the designers. To every single person who contributed in any way towards the success of the show. There are almost too many people to name, but know that I love you and value you.
Trust in the vision that comes to you. See it through, even with the hiccups, the missteps and delays. You will reach your goal eventually.

*My dress is by a Nigerian brand called Neche The Brand. Their whole brand is in AI, and they made this design just for me, using measurements. I got the bodysuit tailored the night before and the skirt tailored the day of. The Bombs were a little misaligned. It wasn’t perfect, but that’s life. We chase perfection, but it can be elusive. But you realize that there is beauty in imperfection, no?
While I contemplated wearing something else, when or where else could I wear a dress with gold bombs on it?!?
