Happy Monday!
Last week, I was blessed to attend many Pre-Grammy events, one of which was Essence’s Black Women in Music luncheon honoring celebrity stylist June Ambrose and Combs Enterprises President Dia Simms.
Approximately 50 women and men were invited to the intimate event, which was MC’ed by MC Lyte, and featured speeches by the honorees and Andre Harrell.
I felt blessed to be able to break bread and interact with so many women I admire, including Connie Orlando, Crystal McCrary, Erika Munro and many more.
There is a common saying that you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with. So try to organically form relationships with people who inspire you to push further, reach higher, and go harder.
For the day, I shopped my closet, rocking a black McQ dress, Alice & Olivia boots, a Zara hat, and a River Island coat.
Though I am VERY TEMPTED to be a busy body today, you have to spend time tending to your garden so flowers can grow. For me, that means, writing e-mails, cleaning up, getting organized, and preparing for the next onslaught of events: NYFW and Allstar Weekend in LA!
Stay tuned..
Love & Light,
