Panel Style Diary: A Red Valentino Floral Printed Drop Waist Dress, Kate Spade Paris and the Single Girl Book Clutch, and Zara Double Breasted Faux Leather Jacket

April is my month for panels and events, and I kicked the circuit off yesterday with a talk sponsored by In Her Shoes Blog and Essence.

I joined Renae Bluitt of In Her Shoes, Demetria Lucas of Bravo’s Blood, Sweat, and Heels and A Belle in Brooklyn, Latham Thomas of Mama Glow, and Anthony Dickey of Hairrules as we talked about our work mantras and how we ultimately pursued our dreams!

I’m a girly girl. So shoot me! So I felt it fitting to wear a floral printed dress by Red Valentino and a pair of Christian Louboutin pumps.

I stacked on loads and loads of jewelry (basically every necklace I own).

And slipped on Zara’s double breasted faux leather jacket outside to battle the chill.

Powder and lipstick were stashed in my favorite Kate Spade Paris and the Single Girl book clutch.

Though I was *totally* nervous about speaking in front of a room of people, I realized that as long as I’m honest and speak from the heart, the message resonates.
