New Orleans Style Diary: Hosting the McDonalds 365 Black Awards Golden Carpet in a Theory Vest, KTR Collection Skirt, and Christian Louboutin Spiked Sandals

So last week, I went down to Essence Fest! The annual event is chock full of fantastic events, and I was booked solid (praise him!)!
My first commitment was hosting the Golden Carpet for the McDonalds 365 Black Awards.

The event honors members of the community making a positive contribution through service.
Full disclosure, I really wanted to wear a Moschino cashmere ‘McDonalds’ sweater dress! But I waited too long to get it…oh yeah, and I’m on a shopping budget (remember?). So I shopped my closet, wearing a Theory vest as a top, and a red skirt I was gifted by KTR Collection.

I was on my feet all morning, so slipped on one of my most comfortable heels, which are, believe it or not, by Christian Louboutin. The sandals and peep toes aren’t so bad!

I picked up on the red in the skirt with red lipstick and fun rings by Melody Ehsani.
