Happy Tuesday, everyone!
I just touched down back in NYC from Lagos, and let me tell you: it was a whirlwind trip! Because I was only there for a few days, I tried to pack in as much fun, fashion, and fabulosity as I could. It seems almost overwhelming to write down all I did (and I’m drowning in emails, guys), but as with everything: you start at the beginning, and at the end, stop. I have about an hour before I have to head into the city for a a few meetings, so let’s go!
Y’all know I love to shop, right? So one of my first stops on my first full day in Lagos was at Polo Luxury ( (Akin Adesola Street, AIB Plaza , Victoria Island , Eti Osa, Lagos, Polo Towers, 166 Ozumba Mbadiwe Rd, Lagos 23401, Nigeria), a luxury department store that stocks sumptuous accessories ranging from Rolex watches to bags and shoes by Gucci, Balenciaga, Versace, and more.
Of course, like a magpie, I’m attracted to anything sparkly, so I had a good old time ogling all the jewel embellished shoes and bags. Our creative director Kelley Carter is super artsy, so she was more into the feathered headpieces and fur laden flats.
I took a few pictures in front of the store…
Then made my way to night 1 of the fashion shows for #GTBankFashionWeekend:
I said hello to Segun Agbaje, the Managing Director of GT Bank:
And met and greeted so many new and old friends, including Zina and Nkiru Anamudu, designer Lanre de Silva Ayaji, Nollywood actress Rita Dominic, stylist Ugo Mozie, and many many more.
It was a fun night!
After all that, can you believe I got changed and headed to a special edition of Cocktails with Claire at the Bridge? Yes, I did.
Stay tuned for pictures soon!
Until then, thoughts on my Day 1 in Lagos?
Love + Light,
*For the day, I wore a Midget Giraffe jacket, Zephans and Co jeans, and a Rue 107 Bralette. I was hot (literally and perhaps figuratively as well)!
