So about twice a year, I get eye infections.
I wear contacts constantly, and though I’ve gotten better, sometimes, I fall asleep with the dern things in. Couple that with my almost constant staring at screens, and you get a bleary, red eyed mess, wearing very large glasses and avoiding bright lights.
Ain’t nobody got time for that! I’m speaking on panels, I’m flying hither and thither, I have to be ON, I can’t do this….
Anymore!
Getting Lasik has been on my get list for years, but so many things have stopped me. Initially it was price…and my mother in my head, saying, “You only get two eyes!” My mother does not believe in corrective surgery of any kind, mostly citing, “You only have two….” She has stood in the way of many things in the past (she almost derailed my bunion surgery), but no more. I am getting Lasik.
I put out a roll call on the ‘Gram, and got some pretty good recs. Read on below:
1. Dr. Steven Stetson of Diamond Vision.
My friend Lauren said, “Dr. Stetson is the best. He did me 7 years ago and I’ve been 20/15 ever since with zero complications. He’s done my mom and a few of my friends who recommended me to him.” If that wasn’t enough of a glowing endorsement, she sent over his resumé. Yep, sounds promising!
2. Dr. Mark Speaker from TLC Vision
My homegirl Layla said, “LASIK was the best investment I ever made! I had mine done 10 years ago. My sister went to him too.” Book an appointment here.
A few other people on the ‘Gram had the following recommendations…
3. Dr. Norden of Norden of Norden Laser Eye Associates
4. Harry Koster of NY Vision Group
5. Dr. Hollander of the Sight Improvement Center
That’s all good, but who should I pick? If you have thoughts, leave ’em below.
I’ve had it!! LOL.
