I am very late updating the here site with my latest, but of course you know by now that I had Cocktails with Claire D.C. and am now preparing for CWC Atlanta!
Cocktails with Claire is not just a party, but moreso an opportunity for fashion enthusiasts who might not have loads of style focused events on their schedule to meet, exchange cards, and build.
With the advent of our shopping component, it’s also a chance for local designers to showcase their items to a fashion focused crowd.
Though I have an eye for style and love pop culture, I want my contribution to this world to be substantive. I want to help people grow. And my goal is for women of color to feel like they truly have a place in the industry, one that doesn’t need to be dictated by the powers that be. We don’t need to be validated by the outside to have a strong force. I’ll be pursuing even more efforts in the New Year to groom the next generation of tastemakers and trendsetters.
Stay tuned!
Oh yeah, for the party, I mixed high and low with a Topshop dress and a Versace belt.
I did everything in my power to stretch my Brian Atwood heels. They are painful! LOL. A fur stole and I was ret to go.
I started an Ask Claire segment on my snapchat (find me @ClaireSulmers) and most questions center around where I’ll go next. Will I come to Boston? London? Chicago? The answer is: Yes! Obviously events like this are needed, so I will oblige!
Hope to meet y’all soon:)
