Buongiorno de Milano!
Yesterday, I touched down in Milan for Fashion Week!
I haven’t been to Milan for Fashion Week in over 10 years! Back when I used to freelance for Italian Vogue, I did the whole circuit of Fashion Month shows from New York to London, then Milan to Paris. Since I stopped freelancing in 2013, I have been just doing New York and Paris, but I decided to switch it up this season, and I’m glad I did! Milan is a small, but welcoming city, and on my first day, I went to 5 shows, including the Diesel, Delcore, Alberta Ferretti, Roberto Cavalli, and Etro shows!
I actually learned I’d be going to the Diesel show while boarding my flight from New York to Milan!
I knew I’d land at 8am and that the show was at 12:30pm. Another interesting tidbit: hotel check in wasn’t until 2pm! But thankfully, unlike Hotel du Collectionneur (ahem), my hotel offered something called “Shower and Go,” a small room where I could take a shower, freshen up, and do my makeup. After freshening up, I rushed to the Diesel store, found this little dress, and then went directly to the show. Sometimes things are well planned out, sometimes you just gotta roll with it!
At the show, I ran into Jaden Smith:
And then I changed clothes and headed to the Delcore, Alberta Ferretti, Roberto Cavalli, and Etro shows, where I grabbed pix with Alberta Ferretti herself (!) and Yvonne Orji.

I am already running late for my first show of the day, but while here, I’m going to try to catch up on New York Fashion Week and stay on top of updates from Milan. Hold me to it!
