Claire’s Life: Celebrating Billions with my Friend Margaret at Tatiana’s in a Hanifa Pink Coat and Gray Skirt

So my friend Margaret is the Bomb!

There’s no better place to gather and give flowers than at Tatiana by Chef Kwame Onwuachi, a cultural hotspot as rich in flavor as it is in soul. Last night, I had the absolute pleasure of celebrating my brilliant friend Margaret Anadu, who just raised $2.5 billion for her firm, Vistria. Surrounded by love, legacy, and next-level food, the night was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when Black women lead with vision, purpose, and unapologetic excellence.

The energy at Tatiana was unmatched—warm, vibrant, and filled with meaningful conversation over Chef Kwame’s signature dishes (get the goat patties!). Margaret, as always, was grace and power personified. Her achievement is not just a win for her or Vistria—it’s a win for all of us watching, dreaming, and working toward our own billion-dollar moves. Her toast was laced with pride, every laugh wrapped in inspiration. It’s always special to see your people thrive, and even more special to pause and honor them in the moment.

NYC might still be holding onto winter temps (boooo!), but I pulled up in soft-girl chic: a pink Hanifa coat layered over a gray Hanifa skirt, paired with a sleek Entire Studios bodysuit and Piferi heels to finish the look. Cozy, classic, and very much “I’m here to celebrate, but make it fashion.” I love L.A. for its sun and pace, but there’s nothing like coming home—especially when you’re surrounded by friends, food, and the women who inspire you most.

To Margaret, to Black excellence, to breaking barriers and building billion-dollar legacies—we see you, we salute you, and we’re right behind you. More to come from New York City, where the grind never stops, the girls stay glowing, and the ceilings keep getting shattered.✨
