The other day, I went back to my roots, shooting street style and hairstyles at Afropunk x Shopify’s Black Fashion Presentation, sponsored by Mielle Organics.
Of course I said hey to Mielle Organics CEO, Monique Rodriguez, aka the Queen of Hair.
And I had a good old time taking street style with Sone Jr:
For the occasion, I wore a suit from Alabaxter Box Boutique and Jessica Rich Pumps.
While there, I was certainly yearning for some comfortable footwear, and got loads of Inspo from some of the attendees. Y’all, my challenge is to wear a look with cool sneakers sometime this summer! Because my dogs were barking and there was nowhere to sit down:/
At any rate, it’s a cool event, and it seems Shopify is helping black fashion designers scale their businesses. They need to holla at FashionBombDailyShop.com!
