So it’s official: I am moving out of my storage unit at Public Storage.
Ever since I moved to LA 3 years ago, I have been paying to store a bunch of items I honestly don’t wear or have use for anymore. Public Storage keeps increasing the prices arbitrarily and after this last rent increase I told myself: It’s time to let it all go.
For the past week, I’ve been adding mystery boxes to Poshmark and also sending boxes to friends and family.
I’m actually prepping for my 2nd trip to The Real Real. Everything must go! It’s hard to let go of pieces that carry sentimental value, so I’ll be shipping those back home to ATL.
Between donations, sending stuff to friends, and Poshmark, the hope and dream is that we’ll be out in a matter of days.

When I first started Fashion Bomb Daily, I was a poorly paid researcher/reporter. My focus was on getting clothes that could last, things that I would want to wear over and over again. That mindset of scarcity has always led me to hold on to things in case of a rainy day. I now realize that I am so blessed that I could go to a new city with no clothes and a designer would dress me, or someone will send me something. My GOD given talent + your support = blessings on blessings! So I need to get rid of the poverty mindset and embrace that of abundance. And whatever is lost, GOD will replace.
