Claire’s Life: Surround Yourself by Excellence with My Parfait Hair and Guy Stanley Philoche’s I Love New York Exhibit Wearing S by Serena’s Kayla Blazer

Happy Thursday!

I fly out to Dallas tonight, then am off to the Bahamas for a family trip, but before I pack my final bikinis and cover ups, I wanted to tell you about my eventful New York night!

On Tuesday, I first stopped by Haitian Artist Guy Stanley Philoche’s I Love New York exhibit, then attended a dinner for My Parfait, a tech enabled hair company.

My Parfait is a brand that uses Artificial Intelligence so that you can find the perfect wig from the comfort of your living room!

The founders of this company are black excellence defined! Equipped with degrees from MIT and Wharton, they are poised to disrupt the hair industry, and I feel blessed to be able to bear witness!

Learn more about their hair company at MyParfait.com.

Before I attended their dinner, I stopped by the Cavalier gallery to take in Haitian Artist Guy Stanley Philoche’s I Love New York exhibit.

Apparently he still loves New York, while I’m firmly on the fence! Despite decades of living here, I still have a love/hate relationship with the Big Apple. NYC is great, but New York is also a crazy place with trash literally everywhere. But what’s not trash are Philoche’s paintings, which I find quite beautiful. I’m gonna to add his artwork to my wishlist once I make it big (haha).

I loved his tribute to New York and its iconic imagery, and enjoyed taking in his artistry with friends, including Christian Siriano, Alicia Quarles, Sandra LaJoie, and K. Dempster.

In the spirit of excellence, I wore a Kayla Plaid blazer by S by Serena for the night, along with Balenciaga boots and shades by Kimberly Goldson. My hair is from MyParfait.com!

Stylist Phillip Bloch, who once styled Michael Jackson, told me one day that Michael used to surround himself with smart people and ask tons of questions. I’m going to take a note from Mr. Jackson and continue to surround myself by enterprising, talented people. And hope to soak up some of their wisdom in the process.

They say you are the company you keep, and I look forward to continuing to elevate.

Here’s to big dreams and big wigs.

Love & Light,

*I’ve worn these boots SEVERAL times, they are falling down; I also don’t know how to clean them (?) but anyway I’ve worn them before with a similar look.

Which ensemble do you prefer?
