Hey!
So Legendary Damon, Ty Hunter, and I had yet another No Basics brunch this past Saturday!
I proposed Versace last time, and this time, Damon suggested we wear Moschino! And while I contemplated getting a Barbie Doll or Teddy Bear adorned outfit for two seconds, I figured I’d get more bang for my buck by wearing leather with gold accents (similar to Moschino’s Fall 2014 collection. See a few inspirations below).
See where I was going?
At any rate, I’d originally planned to wear this leather top from Zara, but it was sold out everywhere, so I took a chance with this Current Elliott Mechanic Jacket, which I wore as a top.
I paired it with a leather mini, and accessorized with Brian Atwood Abel sandals, a Moschino logo belt and Moschino knuckle rings.
Please excuse the ugly green bracelet. I got it in Brazil and BASICALLY you make a wish, wear it until it falls off, and when it falls off your wish supposedly comes true. I should’ve thought a little more deeply about the color, but it’s scheduled to ruin every outfit for the next few months!
Also, the story with the rings: I ripped open the box. The left hand fit fine, but the right hand was too tight…and when I forced it on, I had trouble taking it off (thought my finger was going to fall off!). Anyway, I tailor most things–even jewelry! I took the rings to my local cobbler who cut some room in the underside so I could wear them comfortably. What I do for fashion, I tell ya!
Jembere Aviator sunglasses in gold and black added another fun touch.
At any rate, I’ll be honest. I feel like I look very portly and masculine in this. LOL. Maybe the top is a smidge too tight? IDK. But I will live to dress another day:)
What do you think?
*Save the date for the next No Basics Brunch! It goes down June 13th.
