Yesterday I popped by Jay Manuel’s beauty event, celebrating his new partnership with Simon Malls.
Jay has initiated a new retail experience for beauty enthusiasts buying products at makeup counters. In addition to furnishing customers with glorious lighting, Jay has conceived of several high tech additions, including computers that remember past purchases so that you can buy your favorites with a click. Cool, right?
Several Fashion and Beauty insiders came to celebrate Mr. Jay, including Miss Jay Alexander, Lionbabe, Alfre Woodard , Bethann Hardison, Jerome Lamaar, and supermodel Iman, whose Impala beauty company owns Mr Jay’s eponymous brand.
For the night, I kept it colorful in a Solace London dress, Gianvito Rossi pumps and a Saint Laurent bag from A Daily Diva.
I am currently en route to my motherland Bahamas for Bahamas Fashion Week! I decided to take my mom as my plus one because she is responsible for my life, love of fashion, and it’s her birthday! Stay tuned for pix.
