Y’all, I don’t live in Atlanta. I grew up in Atlanta, and frequently visit my family! And it’s only a 2 hour flight from New York!
As such, it was easy to head down to the A to celebrate the 100th episode of Tyler Perry’s show Sistas on BET!
If you don’t watch the show, you need to check it out! It follows the life of friends Andy, Danny, Fatima, Karen, and Sabrina, as they navigate life, love, and friendship.
The show is BET’s highest rated show with 1million views per week! To celebrate, BET brought a bunch of bomb women together to dine at Rock Steady and discuss what sisterhood means to us.
For me, sisterhood is about showing love! Adhering to the mantra collaboration over competition. It’s about being supportive, bigging up other women, and sometimes even just telling them they look fly. It’s the simple things.
For the occasion, I wore Jessica Rich heels and a dress from The Ivy Showroom. With all my travels, I literally need new outfits all the time. The Ivy Showroom is a black owned rental house in the A that is always a great option in a pinch.
It’s always good connecting with women I admire on Instagram in real life! I pray that we continue the positive vibes and supportive energy for now and forever.
