Last Friday, I was graciously invited by Colorcomm founder Lauren Wesley Wilson to cover the organization’s 10th anniversary luncheon, held at the luxurious Daniel restaurant on East 65th Street.
ColorComm is a business community for women of color in the communications industry.
The room was full of accomplished women in media, television, publishing, and more, including Bevy Smith, Ebony Magazine’s Michelle Ghee, Tai Beauchamp, Eula Smith, Publicist Yvette Noel Schure, and more.
Whoopi Goldberg gave a rousing keynote speech, simply asking for us to support each other, check in with each other, and most importantly give people their flowers while they’re here!
I am obsessed with Whoopi Goldberg for many reasons. She is accomplished, yet so down to earth, and unapologetic about her truth. She is funny, yet viscerally brilliant, and unafraid to break barriers.
I was super excited to be out and about, and y’all know I love a suit! I rocked a Nadine Merabi option covered in crystals, along with a finger wave hairstyle.
Then I was off to film a secret project (details to come).
What do you think?
Love & Light,
