Good morning, Bomb Lifers!
Today I woke up at 5am and went for a run..and now I’m here updating The Bomb Life! The 5am rule is certainly effective, but it’s hard to be disciplined when traveling. I’ve decided to take August off, so will be rededicating myself to getting back on track. Let’s go!
At any rate, this past week, I spoke on an entrepreneurship panel in Indianapolis, Indiana called Leading Change with Style.
I joined Kyla Woods, Founder of Crowd or Camera Communications Consulting, Malina Simone Jeffers, Founder of Malina Simone Inc. , Noelle Allen, Owner of A Total Solution CPA & Consulting Services, Inc., Tonya Rapley, Millennial Money Expert & Founder of My Fab Finance, and moderator Ebony Chappel, Editor in Chief & Director of Marketing at the Recorder Media Group for a spirited discussion on entrepreneurship and fashion!
It was by GOD’s grace I made the event. Our shoots in LA kept getting rescheduled, and American Airlines was tripping with the flight change fees. My original flight was unexpectedly canceled, which allowed me to shift my flight for free. Won’t he do it?!?
I was sooo happy I was able to go. I was able to meet Indianapolis based Fashion Bomb Daily readers and also introduce the brand to a few new faces (a lot of women in attendance had never heard of FBD!).
For the day, I wore a satin suit by Marie Annette, Lola Ade fringe earrings, a little tank from Lulu’s and Stuart Weitzman nudist heels.
Someone wrote on IG that all I wear are ‘labels.’ Check how many multicultural designers I wear for various events (a lot).
At any rate, I sold books and was able to connect with so many FABULOUS women. I feel like I’m an independent artist on tour with my book, meeting, greeting, inspiring, and sharing knowledge with loads of chic women in person. I love interfacing with all of you. Thank you for supporting me!
Writing books is addictive! I’m working on Book #2. You heard it hear first, people. But before I really get in, what would you like to read about?
