Gotta be honest, I struggled to come up with something to write about today to accompany these FAB pix I took recently on Rodeo Drive.
I always make it a point to take pix when I go out, and the other day I grabbed some pretty fab meals at the Beverly Hills Hilton’s Polo Lounge, followed by the Waldorf Astoria rooftop. I stopped by Rodeo to snap some pix of my Clueless inspired ensemble, provided by NakedWardrobe.com.
You can only be what you can see, and growing up, Clueless was one of those movies that I instantly loved. The story was cool, but the fashion was everything, and I immediately got my mom to get me pleated skirts, Mary Jeans, and knee high socks to mimic the character’s wardrobe. I loved the shots of Cher (played by Alicia Silverstone) walking along Rodeo Drive. Who woulda thunk that one day I’d be having my own Clueless moment (minus the shopping haha)?
As I contemplate stepping into TV and film, I am very acutely aware of the images I’d like to bring to the screen. I want to inspire the next generation of fashionistas who might not see themselves portrayed as the main character in her own fashion tale to dream big. The path won’t be easy, and it never has been.
But nothing is impossible. Stay tuned for more coming soon…
Oh and about the title of this post! I get lots and lots of clothes! And while I use Poshmark all the time, all of these platforms take fees. I’m also prepping for a HUGE sale of everything in my storage unit that I don’t want to keep. Stay tuned for that towards the middle of this month.
So, today I launch my own store, called ClaireCloset.Shop. Funnily enough, FashionBombDailyShop.com started as ClairesCloset.net! But er um. I’m going to start by getting rid of all my Rick Owens items, then take things from there.
