While in New York City, I stopped by the Norma Kamali atelier to preview the Pre-Fall 2026 collection.
I was instantly reminded of why this house remains one of my favorite American heritage brands. Norma Kamali designs with intention—creating clothes that are timeless, universally flattering, and meant to be worn by women across generations. Whether you’re in your twenties or well into your grandmother era, the pieces are designed to make you feel confident, comfortable, and yes, even a little sexy. The price point remains refreshingly accessible, proving that thoughtful construction and longevity don’t have to come with an unattainable price tag.
This season builds upon the brand’s signature silhouettes while introducing fresh, modern expressions. Crisp white eyelet dresses were cinched with sunlit yellow belts, sculptural gold-foil jersey gowns shimmered under the lights, and off-the-shoulder metallic minis were paired with soft heather-grey skater skirts for contrast.
Fluid leopard-print draping—one of the house’s enduring codes—was reimagined as column gowns, separates, and asymmetric tops. It felt like classic Kamali language, refined and renewed for now.
While at the atelier, I ran into familiar faces like my boy Mickey Boom, and met new ones, like influencers Sophie Silva and Kalitaku–a reminder that one of New York City’s greatest gifts is its creative community. Those spontaneous encounters, both old and new, are part of what keeps the city’s fashion ecosystem vibrant and connected.
What’s less charming about New York City? The cold. I bundled up in a tailored FGMBespoke jacket, an Eterne dress from Revolve, and white boots for the visit.
I can honestly say I love winter dressing, I LOVE winter white, I loved this look.
