Happy Monday, folks!
Currently checking in to you from Las Vegas, Nevada! I was here covering the 2016 Soul Train Awards as the Style Stage correspondent for Creme of Nature!
My job was to interview notables on the carpet about their looks, hair care, and makeup! I had a great time chopping it up with Teyana Taylor, Draya Michele, Lalah Hathaway, Elise Neal, Jill Scott, and many more!
It was my first time covering a red carpet for another outlet! It was refreshing and so much fun. I can’t wait to do it again!
I love supporting new designers of color, so I decided to wear a dress by Tina Summers, a young California native I met during Africa Fashion Week LA.
The dress did a lot, so I kept it simple with Stuart Weitzman nudist sandals and Alexis Bittar hoops. Glittery eyeshadow completed the look!
I’m still getting the hang of the carpet, and I’m sure I’ll continue to improve and hopefully get more opportunities when I move out West (yes, it’s pretty much official, I am moving!).
