My Dad has been a pilot since I was a wee little lass.

Because of how complicated it still is to fly to Cuba, he decided to fly my sister, stepmother, and I to the country in his small plane.

As many times as you may fly commercially, nothing can quite brace you for flying in a small plane. Every cloud and portent of bad weather makes the situation extremely precarious. Of course I know my Dad is a seasoned pilot, so there’s not much to fear. Still, it’s scary! And because of the sensitive nature of flying small planes, we are restricted to carrying lighter loads. As I indicated here, our limit per person was 20 lbs.

I can’t lie…I definitely looked at this 20 lb weight limit as a challenge! Step one was finding the lightest bag imaginable. I found gold at Mori’s Luggage and Gifts with a 21″ Outta Here Foldable Club Bag.

The nylon bag is easy-to-pack and weighs almost nothing! I could only find that ugly neon color online, but in stores, I got the bag in neutral black.
Then, it was time to pack!

Please, excuse me, I’m no Visuals by Pierre. ANYWAY, I was able to bring:

*3 white shirts
*1 Black Tank
*2 Skirts
*1 Pair of Shorts
*3 Dresses
*2 Dusters
*1 Swimsuit
*Two Pairs of Heels in Nude and Black
*Three Pairs of Flat Sandals in Gold, Silver, and Black
*One Tote, One Clutch
*Jewelry
*Some Makeup (lipstick, eyeliner, mascara)
*Toiletries (but nothing crazy…didn’t bring soap and am hoping the hotel has that)
*Laptop, phone, and chargers

Mind you this is for almost two weeks in Cuba, but…it is possible to pack a good amount with little space!
I learned a lot about packing…namely that sequins weigh a lot (hello, I love sequins!), so restrict how much you bring (I was able to sneak in a sequined duster and a sequined dress, but that’s it). At any rate, I heard the Wifi is hard to come by…and I low key look forward to unplugging and maybe not caring about my #OOTD, even if only for a little while…
