Happy Thursday, y’all!
I’ve been taking all this week to just…be lazy. Cocktails with Claire can take a lot out of me, so I needed a few days to decompress. Sleep in. Catch up on all my trashy TV. And just do…whatever I felt like doing. We all know that blogging/content creation is a serious grind and only the strong survive. But when you feel like throwing in the towel, don’t quit: just evolve.
I wore my “I’m the Boss” dress proudly on Saturday, because I’m finally starting to Boss Up. Instead of me handling all the business invoices, I got an accountant! So now, instead of receiving invoices while I’m on a beach in Jamaica…or while digging into Thanksgiving dinner…or enjoying time with my friends… I’ve outsourced! So many things that I used to do, I’ve now handed off to other capable individuals.
I used to wake up like clockwork at 8 am and be at my computer by 9am. I used to look through every Instagram post and occasionally issue searing criticisms. Now I have people who help me, so that I can focus on other projects. Like making Cocktails with Claire a true EXPERIENCE. Building new offshoots. And continuing to grow my brand (did y’all see me on Sister Circle? What did you think?!?).
It’s too easy to quit. Don’t give up. Just re-strategize. Find people who are willing to help you. Compensate them to the best of your ability. Put your soldiers in place and build a strong foundation so you can continue to build.
