So I recently returned from a quick trip to Palm Desert in California for their fashion week.
I’ve been to fashion weeks all over the world; Palm Desert’s Fashion Week El Paseo was more consumer based (you could shop the runway), but I discovered lots of fab brands nonetheless. Stay tuned for my recap on Fashion Bomb Daily tomorrow.
I always love to do new, unexpected things, and go to places I’ve never been before. I discovered designer Shades of Shea, whose dress I’m wearing, at Underground Artistry’s F.A.M. Show. One of FBD’s commenters said the show didn’t look professional, but who cares? The designers showing were talented. Look at this dress!
If I had turned my nose up at the opportunity to co-host that show, I wouldn’t have discovered Shades of Shea. Keeping an open mind is key in any creative field. You never know where you’ll find inspiration.
At any rate, Palm Desert was BEAUTIFUL and Picturesque, and everything from the food to the atmosphere were bomb.
