So I’m in LA! But my friend Tara is in NYC visiting (ships passing), and has been blowing me up about my favorite places to eat!
Instead of a litany of texts, I thought I’d write a post. This one’s for you, T!
1. The Standard Grill (848 Washington St, New York, NY 10014)
If you’re in the fashionable Meatpacking District, pop by The Standard Grill. They have yummy meat and cheese plates, burgers, salads, literally anything you could want!
I also love their drinks! Get the Strawberries Wild Punch bowl if you’re looking to turn up. Afterwards, walk on the Highline or keep the party going at the Standard Rooftop with breathtaking views of the city.
2. The Crosby Street Hotel (79 Crosby St, New York, NY 10012)
I love Crosby Street Hotel’s restaurant in Soho to give you the feel of the area without the chaos. The Crosby Hotel is super cute and off the beaten path. My favorite dishes include their spinach salad with shrimp (topped with a quail egg and bacon!) and their lump crab pasta. They changed the recipe recently, but it’s still tasty. Service is bomb and shhh, sometimes you can spy a fashion insider or two grabbing a cocktail.
3. Mercer Kitchen (99 Prince St, New York, NY 10012)
Live from the Mercer! This is another gem in Soho. Grab a summery salad upstairs of more hearty fair in their restaurant downstairs. Reservations are recommended for dinner. Everything’s good, but I’d get the salmon for an entree and warm cookies for dessert!
4. The Modern at the Moma (9 W 53rd St, New York, NY 10019)
I’m a downtown girl, but uptown deserves some love! When I’m in midtown, I love to pop by the Modern at the Moma. The eye candy is delicious and the food is tasty. This place is a splurge, but worth it. Any of the seafood is a go! I mean, doesn’t it look super sexy?
5. Félix (340 W Broadway, New York, NY 10013)
Get your street peeping on at Café Felix, again in Soho (I love downtown). They have French fair like escargots and French Onion soup. It reminds me of Paris. Allez-y!
There are many many more! But those are a few of my haunts. Hey, you could even catch me at one of the above on any given day….!
