Hope You Guys Had a Fab Memorial Day!
Yesterday, before I hit up a Mem Day BBQ, I was pleased to meet David Tlale, a South African designer.
Get into his accessories! Love!
We spoke about me visiting South Africa for their fashion week (!) and even me wearing a few of David’s pieces. I’ve been a fan of his brand for a long time, as he mixes African print with Western sensibility!
So for our meeting, I decided to do just that in a cloud peplum top from Ife’s closet, Topshop shorts, and Stuart Weitzman Nudist Sandals.
As you can (maybe) tell, I started off the day in Tom Ford Nikita Sunglasses, then took these pix in Dior Pantos shades.
Basically what had happened was that Pierre, who lensed these shots, was running late…and I dipped into my favorite Soho sunglasses store, Ilori. I’ve been eyeing this style for a long time, moreso the all silver colorway. But these went with my outfit. So I bought them. Shame!
They ate up more than half of my monthly spend budget BUT I kinda sorta said the shopping diet would start in June, so these don’t count;) I further accessorized with a Topshop necklace, gold cuffs, and a vintage Gucci clutch.
Then I was off to a BK backyard BBQ!
Anyway, I’m really excited at the prospect of South African Fashion Week.
